List of All Landmark Types and Elden Ring Items Their Functions

There are 11 main landmark types in every Nightreign Expedition. Their exact locations vary per run, but the types are consistent.

Primary Landmark Types (Always Have a Boss)

1. Castles- Always central on the map; contain some of the toughest bosses and best loot.
2. Great Churches- More frequent, offer Sacred Flasks, and easier early-game challenges.
3. Encampments- Easier, more accessible locations for first-night leveling.
4. Sorcerer's Rise- Often grants spell-based rewards; sometimes lacks boss fights.
5. Caverns
6. Gravesites
7. Watchtowers
8. Strongholds
9. Crypts
10. Fortresses

Special Symbols and Non-Boss Landmarks

Scarabs- Revealed via Forts; guaranteed Talisman drops.
Buried Treasure- Also revealed by Forts; high chance of rare gear.
Mission Objective Icons- Appear during Nightfarer's Remembrance or Shifting Earth events.
